Kat Breckenridge

Dr. Kat Breckenridge is a small-animal emergency veterinarian passionate about delivering compassionate, personalized care to pets and their families during their most critical moments. Known for her empathetic approach, Dr. Breckenridge prioritizes building genuine connections with pet owners while tailoring treatment plans to align with their goals and their pet’s needs.

Dr. Breckenridge earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Chemistry from Murray State University in 2021, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2025. She further developed her clinical skills through the Ethos ER Immerse Program with MVES/OPVES, where she trained in the fast-paced, high-acuity environment of emergency medicine.

She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Christian Veterinary Mission.

Dr. Breckenridge was drawn to emergency medicine for its dynamic nature and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in urgent, often emotional situations. She values supporting pet owners through difficult decisions with empathy, clarity, and compassion.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Breckenridge enjoys reading, especially novels by Kristin Hannah, attending concerts, and spending time outdoors. She is also dedicated to giving back through fostering and volunteering with local animal shelters. She loves spending time with her husband, Collin, their family, and their two cats, Oliver and Birdie.

A fun fact about Dr. Breckenridge: her passion for animals began early while visiting her aunt and uncle, world-champion sled dog racers in northern Minnesota, where she spent summers helping care for racing dogs and farm animals.
