Katilee Jacobs
Dr. Katilee Jacobs is a board-certified veterinary medical oncologist passionate about advancing cancer care in pets, especially feline patients. She joins the Overland Park Veterinary Emergency & Specialty team and has extensive experience across specialty practices and academic institutions.
Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Jacobs earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, Spanish, and Zoology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2013. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in 2017, where she first discovered her deep interest in oncology. Her post-graduate training included rotating and two oncology specialty internships at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and Michigan State University. She went on to practice as an Associate Veterinary Oncologist at The Oncology Service before completing her oncology residency at Tufts University in 2025.
Dr. Jacobs is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Oncology. Her clinical interests include the future of non-invasive diagnostic tools and feline cancer care. She is also involved in ongoing research, focusing on “Liquid Biopsy in Feline Cancer.”
She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), and the Veterinary Cancer Society (VCS).
Outside the hospital, Dr. Jacobs—who goes by Kati—enjoys reading, watching football and baseball, exploring local attractions, and spending time with her two cats, Khaleesi and Reina.
